Participant Privacy & Professional Boundaries Policy
Practice Leadership Institute™ encourages thoughtful professional dialogue that supports ethical learning, reflective practice, and responsible leadership development.
Because program discussions may involve sensitive professional experiences, participants share responsibility for maintaining appropriate privacy and professional boundaries within the learning environment.
Respect for Professional Privacy
Participants are expected to respect the privacy of fellow participants when professional experiences, leadership challenges, or workplace dynamics are discussed during Institute programming.
Information shared by other participants during sessions should not be disclosed outside the program environment without the individual’s explicit permission.
Participants are encouraged to speak about their own experiences while maintaining appropriate discretion regarding colleagues, workplaces, or organizations.
Protection of Client Confidentiality
Participants remain responsible for ensuring that any clinical examples shared during program discussions comply with professional ethical standards and applicable laws governing client confidentiality.
When referencing clinical situations, participants must:
Remove identifying information
Avoid sharing names, locations, or unique circumstances that could identify a client
Present examples in a manner consistent with ethical guidelines established by their licensing boards and professional organizations
Practice Leadership Institute™ programs are not intended to function as formal clinical consultation or supervision unless explicitly stated within a program description.
Participants remain responsible for adhering to the supervision and consultation requirements established by their licensing authorities.
Professional Boundary Expectations
Programs offered by Practice Leadership Institute™ are educational in nature and are designed to support professional development.
Participants should maintain appropriate professional boundaries during program activities, including:
Respecting differing professional perspectives
Avoiding personal attacks or adversarial interactions
Refraining from requests for personal clinical advice outside the program’s learning objectives
Faculty members and instructors facilitate discussion but do not assume responsibility for participants’ professional decision-making.
Participants remain responsible for exercising independent professional judgment within their own practice settings.
